Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) of Montréal Ghosts
Do you only offer Montréal Ghosts' activities for Halloween?
Our ghosts haunt Old Montreal year-round! Private groups are welcome anytime, and for individuals, the regular season runs from May to October.
In which languages are your activities offered?
Our activities are available in English and French (unilingual groups). Just select your preferred language when booking.
Do the Montréal Ghosts’ activities take place rain or shine? How should I dress?
Our ghosts fear neither rain nor sunshine! The streets of Old Montreal await you, come rain or shine. Dress comfortably and in layers… after all, it’s best to be prepared for anything, even unexpected chills.
Where does the Ghost Walk end?
All haunted roads lead to Bonsecours Market! Whether during the regular season or for private activities, this is where your adventure ends… or does it?
Are the activities appropriate for children?
Our tales are full of mystery… and sometimes a bit dark! We recommend them for children aged 10 and up. Themes like torture, murder, and the grittier side of New France might give younger ones nightmares. If unsure, feel free to reach out!
Should I reserve my spot on the tour?
Absolutely! Ghosts don’t wait, and spots are limited. Our tours fill up quickly, so book online or by phone as soon as possible to avoid being left… in the dark.
How can I purchase tickets for the activities? What payment methods are accepted?
Buy your tickets online or by phone, and pay by credit card at the time of booking. For groups, contact us for payment options.
Do I have to print my tickets?
No need! When you book online or by phone, you’ll be added to our guest list, and the storyteller will check you in.
Where does the "Traditional Ghost Walk" activity start? What time should I arrive?
The tour starts at Place Royale, near the Pointe-à-Callière Museum. Arrive 15 minutes early to avoid being outpaced by the ghosts!
Private groups will receive their exact starting point upon booking.
What happens if I am late to the tour?
Unfortunately, latecomers will not be able to join the tour, and we cannot exchange or refund the ticket.
Private groups arriving late will have their tour shortened, as it must end at the agreed-upon time.
Are there any stops during the tours? How long does each tour last?
Yes, there are several stops during our tours where you’ll hear mysterious tales. Some stops offer seating, but there are no breaks. Tours typically last 90 minutes and take place entirely in Old Montreal.
Are there any restrooms available?
There are no restrooms at the starting point or during the tour. We recommend planning ahead before encountering our ghosts.
Can I get a refund or exchange my ticket?
Tickets for regular season activities are non-refundable and non-exchangeable within 23 hours of the event.
Private groups can cancel with no fees up to 5 business days before the activity. Cancellations within 2 to 5 business days incur a 50% fee, and 100% if canceled less than 2 business days in advance.

Are the tours accessible to people with reduced mobility?
Our activities are not wheelchair-friendly, but they are accessible. Contact us by phone for more details.
Can I bring my pet to the activity?
Except for service dogs (like Mira), pets are not allowed. This helps ensure the safety of participants and the smooth flow of the tour, while keeping our ghosts at ease.
Who will be my ghost ?
Ghosts aren’t just whispers in the dark or creaking doors… They are over forty professional actors, each bringing a unique character to life—or should we say afterlife? When you book a ghostly experience, there’s no telling which spirit will cross your path. One thing is certain: you can return time and time again, and every encounter will be as spine-chillingly unique as the last!
